Fabulous Week!!

This week we had some snow so I was not able to make my meeting.  I went today just for a weigh in and I was down 5.6 lbs for the week (really 8 days).  So excited!!  Definitely shocked but my bathroom scale kind of tipped me off before I went to WW.  Wished my leader was there to celebrate with me.  There is no denying that I am really cooking, now.  I am currently down a total of 14.2 lbs and just starting week 14 of WW.  Back on the mark with my 1 lb per week goal, closing in on the next WW goal of 10% weight loss, I'm only 3-4 lbs away from that.  No surprise that the scale was good to me for three reasons: tracking my food, cooking my food and exercising.

I finally buckled down and started tracking again.  My new iphone is a big help b/c it makes the tracking so much easier.  Another thing that's added to my motivation is that my husband is interested and working on his own weight loss.  I am predicting that we will look hot this summer for sure!!

Besides the tracking, I have been cooking.  We were not fast food people ever but I feel like all our meals just have that extra nutrition now, whether its a piece of fruit or I'm using a new vegetable or the usual vegetable in a new way.  It makes me so happy to see the kids eating so healthy.  Definitely more mindful eating is going on.

Finally, the running is probably the biggest change.  Once again this week, I've gotten in all my training runs so far.  Although I'm still working on the technology side of things. I was very disappointed I was unable to get all the info off my phone today and that old info went in my log as today's run.  Annoying!  My pace though is about 10 min/mile and today I ran 4 miles in the fresh air.

Today on my run I was thinking I should become a hairdresser.  My daughter doesn't mind the hairdresser but my son hates going.  To avoid the aggravation of going to the hairdresser's, I decided to cut my kids' hair this morning while they watched TV in our living room.  They both needed trims.  I did an OK job, definitely wouldn't cut anybody else's hair without training but its not like I have to rush them to hairdresser to correct what I did.  Perhaps I have a secret talent for this.  What if I were a hairdresser that makes house calls?  Is there a demand for that?
