This week I lost 2lbs which meant I finally hit the 5% mark!!!! As well as another 5lbs! In 8 weeks I am down 10.8lbs. I am still really enjoying WW but I do get bored at times (I'm still not logging my food) and the last two weeks the meetings have not been too motivating since all they do is talk about the new system. The new points system seems easy to follow (things with more carbs are more points now) and more healthy yet the women in my meeting are so resistant to it. The opportunity to eat all you want of fruits and vegetables seems to boggle their minds.
I was able to exercise a little this week but not feeling too confident that my next weigh in will be that great. We were making Christmas cookies and cookies really are my weakness. Plus, my husband has a business trip and I wonder if I'll eat out of boredom. Must stay strong! This is going to be my first week of serious training for the half marathon. I've been feeling good in the gym.
Need to make some phone calls and actually sign up for the half marathon.

On track
Last meeting I lost a slightly disappointing 1lb. Its only disappointing because this is the second week I was hoping to get to my 5% goal and the second week I did not. The last two weeks I think I've just been getting bored. Same thing has happened both weeks, come out of the meeting motivated, eat well for the next 5 days and then the last 2 days I start sabotaging myself by eating things I shouldn't in the evening and not logging my food. I'm determined not to let it happen this week. Just tonight and tomorrow until the weigh in and then I get motivated at the meeting again. Final tally for the full seven weeks I am down 8.6lbs, very happy with that.
Last week's meeting was not as motivating as I had hoped because they unveiled the new plan. I have not had time to really go through the plan but the major changes are free fruits and vegetables and all the point values have changes. Carbs and fat increase the point values, protein and fiber lower it. Its just a matter of learning things/points all over again but in a way its good b/c I was kind of getting bored. This week it does seem that I just don't seem to eat all my points and I do feel like it gets you to eat better foods. When I don't know what I can/should eat, its nice to know I can't go wrong with a fruit or vegetable. Not that I needed WW to tell me this but for keeping track of points and stuff it makes things much easier. Years ago when I did Atkins this was my approach - stay away from carbs in processed food but never deny myself fruit or vegetables seems like the new WW is very similar.
Running is still going well and definitely helping my motivation. I ran another 5k this weekend and my time improved by another 2 minutes! 5k time is at 31minutes. I'm down 6 minutes in just 7 weeks, I'm thrilled with that. This good with only getting one run during the week and one run in on the weekend. I'm just one week away from being able to put the baby in the gym's babysitting and then the real training begins.
I am hopeful this week's meeting I will hit the 5% goal.
