Due to the bathroom remodel, we are forced to bath elsewhere and the most convenient thing to do is head to the YMCA. My kids love taking showers at the YMCA. Its like the wall of showers looks like a water park to them. They have no inhibitions about standing around naked and saying "Hi" to every passerby. The showers are located between the locker room and the pool -- entire swim classes will walk through while my kids are hanging out in the shower. Lucky for me, just opposite the wall of showers are stalls with curtains for those of us a little more inhibited. After all FOUR of us are finished with the shower, we're walking back to the locker room where we run into some kid friends with their moms headed to swim class. Its really awesome running into acquaintances wearing nothing but a towel. The conversation went like this...
Acquaintance mom #1who is looking at me perplexed says, "Did you just go swimming?"
A smiling me who is thinking why is it any of your business responds, "No, just a shower. Our bathroom is getting remodeled and at the moment we have no shower." I actually like this mom so it really wasn't that big a deal that she was asking.
Acquaintance mom #2 pipes up, "Wow! Completely gutted? (I nod yes) Both at the same time!"
"I only have one bathroom in my house," I say.
